CUSTOMER OBJECTIVE :

To cool the upper section of the formaldehyde gas scrubbing column in order to condense rising water vapors as well as finished products such as urea-formaldehyde condensate and liquid adhesives.

DJENAIR PREREQUISITES TO ACHIEVE THIS :

• Utilize the existing steam source in the cooling water production process.

• Provide all the necessary hydraulic equipment for the evaporator, condenser, steam supply, and condensate return circuit.

• Study and establish a pressure reduction station with the necessary safety measures to supply an absorption chiller within the pressure and temperature limits specified by the YORK absorption chiller manufacturer.

• Create an electrical control panel to regulate all the equipment and ensure the safe operation of the absorption chiller to prevent any crystallization phenomena.

• Train the customer's operators in the principles of absorption and the operation and maintenance of the installed equipment.

Chilled Water Production The York absorption chiller YIA unit is a refrigeration system that utilizes the absorption principle to produce chilled water. The unit installed in Arzew is designed to be powered by a steam source available on-site, making it a highly cost-effective solution.

Steam Supply and Condensate Return Line The steam supply line provides the absorption chiller with filtered steam at a stable pressure of 1 bar, regardless of the upstream pressure. This line is equipped with the necessary components to ensure safe operation.

Customer TrainingOperators and technical personnel have been trained on the principle of cold production by absorption and on the operation and maintenance of the installation commissioned by our teams.

RESULTS :

The installed DJENAIR system enables uninterrupted operation and ensures a constant chilled water production temperature. This results in optimal operating conditions for the customer's cooling system and helps maintain the quality of their finished products.

• The absorption chiller system requires less frequent and less complex maintenance compared to mechanical compression systems. This reduces maintenance costs and associated downtime. Absorption chillers have fewer moving parts than mechanical compressors, which lowers the risk of breakdowns and wear and tear.

• The theoretical and technical training provided over multiple sessions allows operators and engineers to manage the system with expertise. Additionally, the customer has the ability to intervene quickly if needed. By being trained on the DJENAIR system, the customer can perform basic preventive and corrective actions, which can reduce response times and the costs associated with external maintenance services.
